The above-mentioned figure is calculated on thumb rule only, which is a standard practice of contractors and interior designers for giving a rough estimate to clients verbally.
However, it may not apply in your case and should not consider for every project.
It is recommended to have a site visit, measurements, and discussion on your requirements with contractor or interior designer to get a fair itemized estimate from them before finalizing your home renovation plan.
